Registration

1. Target group The start2grow founders’ contest invites every one who has a new idea to bring an innovative product or service to fruition and to translate this into the founding of a company. Ideas with great market potential are being sought here. 2. Participation in the contest Participation in the contest is limited to one contest entry per person. Only business plans that are received separately for each phase and by the deadline (and the date of receipt is authoritative) will be considered for awards; they must also be formally correct (see checklists in the download area at www.start2grow.de). In each phase the business plan has to be accompanied by the forms, filled out in their entirety (see forms in the download area at www.start2grow.de). The business plans can be sent by mail or courier or may be submitted personally to start2grow. 3. Registration Participation in the contest requires registration via the website www.start2grow.de. Registration is not binding for the participants. The participation profile can be presented visibly or anonymously in the protected area of the website accessible for registered coaches and founders. 4. Participation restriction Excluded from a possible awarding and assessment are business plans for companies already in existence, which were founded prior to the kick-off event for the respective founders’ contest. Exceptions are permissible here only if has been founded in Dortmund no more than six months prior to the kick-off event for the respective contest. Authoritative is the date upon which the company was founded as per the commercial company registration or entry in the Registry of Companies. Awarding and assessment are possible for a spin-off provided that the business plan is based upon a product or manufacturing or distribution concept that differs from that of the existing company, and provided that the continuation of the existing company is ensured. Receiving a final award in a comparable founders' or business plan contest precludes the assessment and awarding in the start2grow contest. In cases of doubt, contest management decides on admission to the contest. 5. Proceeding of the contest The participants acquire no claim, e.g. to fees or reimbursement of expenditures, against the organizer of the start2grow contest as a result of participation in the contest, the preparation and submission of documents. The organizers assume no liability for the work of the coaches outside the organizers' own organization. There is no entitlement to have the contest documentation returned. start2grow expressly retains the right to decide on the awarding of prizes for the business plans submitted according to its own best judgment, without restriction; such decisions require no substantiation. If deemed appropriate, none of the business plans submitted will be awarded a prize. Information about the prize winners (name and contact information of the team's contact person) and the subject of their business idea can be published in the press and on the website www.start2grow.de. The contest can be terminated at any time without stating the reasons for so doing. 6. Prizes in cash The first half of the respective prize money in phase 2 of the start2grow contests is disbursed immediately. The second half is disbursed when the company is founded in Dortmund by the end of the sixth months following the date of the prize awarding event of the respective contest, provided that it can be demonstrated in writing that the company has been listed in the trade register with its headquarters in Dortmund. If the entry in the trade register is made after the period has expired but if the register court has received the application to registration in due time within the required period, the entry of the application to the register court in due time is deciding. 7. Prizes in kind The prizes in kind allocated in a contest have to be claimed by the end of the sixth months following the date of the prize awarding event of the contest. Authoritative here is the date of invoice/date of contract. Recourse to law is excluded.
